Accredited Degree

Graduate from an AIQS
accredited university degree course / 4 years full-time or
equivalent part-time. During this time, join the AIQS
as a student member (FREE for accredited courses)

After graduation (or in some
cases during the last year of the course) commence a two year
probationary period, during which you are supervised by an
AIQS member and maintain a log;/diary of your work
experience. You need to apply for transfer to AIQS
Probationer Member upon graduating from your course.

On completion of your
probationary period, you must attend and pass an Assessment
of Professional Competence panel interview.

After passing this interview
you are eligible for Associate status (ie. Corporate or Full
Member grade).

Following a further ten(10)
years of experience working in a QS role, and with an
unbroken and satisfactory membership service record, you may
apply for Fellowship of the AIQS.

Life Fellowship are granted
by the AIQS to Fellows who provide long and exceptional
service to the Institute and profession.
Non-Accredited Degree
Students
from technical courses or other non-tertiary course (1 or
more years) During this time join the AIQS as a
student member (fee required)
- After graduating and working
in QS related role for a minimum of three years (or five
years if you do not have a technical qualification), you can
apply for Affiliate Member status.
- Affiliate Members who continue
tertiary studies at a later date, can upon graduating with
their accredited degree, apply for Probationer member and
after successfully completing their APC requirements, can
continue on to Associate Member status after successfully
passing their APC Panel interview.
