Migration assessments are
based on a candidate’s undergraduate academic qualification.
Candidates whose undergraduate qualifications would allow them
entry to the Institute as a Probationer member will be
classified as “Suitable” and be entitled to the full 60
points under the Skilled Migration Category.
The Institute charges a fee of $350.00 for a Skilled
Migration Assessment. Applications are usually processed within
one month of receipt of the application.
Membership of the Institute is not a pre-requisite to apply
for a Skilled Migration Assessment, but qualifications must be
at the entry level of Probationer membership.
Current Probationer and Corporate members need only contact
the National Office for a free assessment as their
qualifications have already been through the assessment process.
Minimum entry standards to Probationer grade and also
eligibility for a Skilled Migration Assessment are:
age over 21,
hold an Australian degree in quantity surveying (refer
to the Tertiary Course Guide)
or
an approved overseas qualification (ie Quantity
Surveying qualifications at degree level accredited by AIQS,
