ASSOCIATE/SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

PEP Solutions is a Property and Construction related professional consultancy firm offering a broad range of services to a growing group of Clients who operate across Australia. We are growing and expanding to keep up with demand for all our services.

We provide these advisory services across diverse sectors including commercial, retail, industrial, hospitality, health, aged care, education, agribusiness and multi-residential. 

We are looking to fill new positions within the firm for career focused quantity surveyors. Applicants should be profit oriented, client focused, motivated and energetic with a desire to advance their careers and be rewarded for hard work and valued client service through profit sharing. 

The Roles

These positions require an associate or senior level person with commensurate skills and no less than 10 years’ local experience in Australia. You will join a specialist quantity surveying team who analyze and report on building costs, variations, programming, costs to complete, financial feasibilities and quantities measurement.

The aims of each position are to provide exceptional value whilst identifying opportunities which can grow the brand and add benefit to our clients through diligence and service.

Duties

To be considered for a role you should display your experience and capability in undertaking most of the following:

> Working with a small team servicing a broad client base;
> Accurate measuring and estimating of construction costs and cost planning;
> Project budgeting for feasibilities, post contract administration and reporting;
> Assessing project risk and cost reporting for financiers;
> Life cycle costing and replacement reporting;
> Travel throughout Australia as required.

Skills and experience

We would expect to successfully undertake the above, you should have:

> Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying;
> Registration with relevant professional associations; (RICS, AIQS, etc)
> Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
> Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility;
> High level capabilities relating to detail, presentation and formatting;
> Highly developed report writing skills including grammar;
> Proficiency in using CostX and Buildsoft measurement programs;
> Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Excel programs;
> Proactive client management and business development skills.

Experience, skills and overall contribution to our team will determine salary and profit share.

JOB DESCRIPTION

> Graduate of recognised QS degree course; 
> Approx. 5-10 years' experience working as a QS;
> Previous experience working in an Australian QS consultancy, providing the full range of pre & post contract QS services preferred; 
> Recent AIQS/MRICS qualified beneficial but not essential; 
> Bill of Quantities Specialist 
> Experience in building projects; and 
> High level verbal and written communication, including preparation of reports for clients. 
> Candidates must be an Australian Citizen or have permanent residency status
