During this webinar, attendees will gain insights into recent and proposed updates to building regulations by Australian Governments. The presentation will also cover the progress made by Governments in implementing the recommendations from the Building Confidence Report five years after its release and explore the driving and hindering factors in its implementation.
Our subject matter expert, Bronwyn Weir, will cover other policy priorities, reviews, and reports that are underway or completed. She will also discuss ‘where to from here’ and how industry and other stakeholders might influence positive change.
![]() | Bronwyn Weir Bronwyn has been a lawyer for 25 years. She runs a legal practice advising all levels of government on regulatory and complaince matters. Bronwyn co-authored the Building Confidence Report, which was issued to Australia’s nine Building Ministers in 2018. The BCR set a road map for increasing complaince and enforcement with the National Construction Code. She continues to advise numerous governments on building regulatory issues but also acts for regulators in a range of other sectors including health, education, water and environment regulation. |
