Historic Agreement between Universities, AIQS and AIBS signed

Pictured above is the CEO of AIQS, Terry Aulich, AIQS Education Chair Dr Dennis Lenard and AIBS CEO Kevin Skauge at the signing of the accreditation agreement between the two construction industry bodies and the Australasian Universities Building Education Association (AUBEA).

The agreement has taken a much more co-operative road to ensuring that tomorrow’s surveyors and quantity surveyors are best served by the universities and other higher education providers. There is a very strong emphasis on integrating research and teaching.

“In this way,” says AIQS CEO Terry Aulich, “there is a dedication on lifting the research base of our professions and encouraging joint ventures and research based activities to make us industry leaders.”

It also guaranteed that the teaching process was based on current and future trends and information. In February, the AIQS will begin its training of its accreditors so that there is quality control and transparency across the nation.
