Webinar

The purpose of this webinar is to provide an essential update on recent changes to the Fair Work Act in relation to the Australian Government’s new ‘Closing Loopholes’ laws.

Mr Adrian Barwick, Solicitor Director and Accredited Specialist with WilliamsonBarwick, will explain these changes, many of which began on the 15th of December 2023, while others will begin this year and into 2025.

Changes that have already started include new:

  • Rules for labour hire workers
  • Discrimination protections for employees experiencing family and domestic violence
  • Small business redundancy rules
  • Workplace delegate rights
  • Right of entry rules

As part of the new rules, employees will have a 'right to disconnect' and the intentional underpayment of wages will be criminalised.

Register for this webinar to receive the key facts on these legislative changes.
