Site Visit to Marvel Stadium (Docklands, Victoria)
Marvel Stadium is one of the Melbourne’s most recognisable landmarks, with its position adjacent to Southern Cross Station making it the gateway to Docklands. The Stadium was first opened in March 2000.
In 2017, the AFL submitted a two-stage redevelopment proposal for the Stadium and its surrounding precinct, the intent of which was to regenerate the stadium with improved facilities for fans, including significant expansion and refurbishment of the interior and exterior of the Stadium as well as many other upgrades.
The refurbishment was designed to support the growth of women’s sport and integration of universal design principles to ensure the redevelopment caters for the entire community.
This redevelopment was broken up into 4 separable portions: Stadium Upgrade (SP1), City Edge (SP2), Town Square (SP3) and Team Facilities (SP4).

Cameron Livori
Cameron is a highly skilled construction project manager, with a depth of experience in the delivery of complex building projects in Victoria. He brings expertise from several high-profile urban builds such as the Marvel Stadium Upgrade and 637 Flinders Street.
He has a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and work packages, with a focus on streamlining works to minimise costs and achieve the overall project objectives. He takes a leader-led approach to safety, fostering a zero-harm culture on-site and always striving for stringent compliance.
IMPORTANT: To attend this visit it is mandatory to wear closed toe shoes. Hard hats and hi-vis vests are not necessary since it is no longer a live construction site.
