Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition.
This CPD webinar will include an introduction to BIM and its applications in the construction industry. This introduction includes insights into the BIM dimensions up to 5D. A few of the BIM tools which are currently well known and are being used in the construction industry will be introduced and explained.

Mr Dissanayaka Gunasekara FAIQS, CQS
Mr Dissanayaka Gunasekara has 18 years of experience in civil constructions in public, private and funded projects both local and overseas. He has a sound knowledge of procurement, contract administration, project management under such forms of contracts as FIDIC, NEC, JCT, ICTAD & Standard Method Measurements, NRM, SMM7, CESMM3, POMI.
