Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as cost control, BOQ, cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting.
Qualifications
- Proficient in utilizing industry-specific software and tools for quantity surveying, including proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with high level Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing and interpreting project data.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills.
- Strong skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Reporting.
- Effective multitasking skills to handle diverse administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience in quantity surveying or related field is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree local or international in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Economics, Construction or equivalent.
- Ability to work from Archi-QS office from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm minimum 3 days per week with the option to do work-from-home up to 2 days per week.
What you’ll do as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Actively participate in team meetings.
- Actively participate in service refinement.
- Communicate with clients to ensure successful completion of tasks and reports.
- Carry out Quantity Surveying Services under the guidance of a Quantity Surveyor including but not limited to a range of construction cost calculations using excel, report compilation and completion.
- Collaborate with Senior Staff in the completion of the Strata Building Bond & Inspection Scheme (SBBIS) reports.
- Process and send invoices with online Xero Accounting Software in a timely manner.
- Update report templates in word and excel, and update procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Handle various administrative one-off tasks to support the smooth functioning of operations.
- Undertake site inspections and client meetings as required.
- Utilise Revit to undertake measurements and simple 2D drawings to assist in completion of reports and tasks.
