QLD Chapter Event: The Basics of Security of Payment - Adjudication under the BIF Act Unwrapped

Join us for an in-person event in which our presenter, Russell Welsh FAIQS CQS, will follow on from the hugely successful April 2025 'Security of Payment - Update' event which introduced the various security of payment (SOP) legislation in all Australian states and territories.

In this session, Russell will explain the essentials of the adjudication process under the BIF Act, and how to ensure compliance with the BIF legislation and examples of why such compliance is essential.
 
This event is a must-attend for all professionals involved in the administration, management and valuation of building, construction, infrastructure and mining contracts, which deals with such essential things as the timing and content of payment claims and payment schedules.

Russell Welsh FAIQS, CQS
Director of Australian Building & Construction Dispute Resolution Service Pty Ltd (ABC DRS)

Russell is a certified quantity surveyor, chartered quantity surveyor, chartered project management surveyor, and civil engineering surveyor, specialising in dispute resolution.

Russell has more than 50 years industry experience internationally including 36 years in Australia. He is an adjudicator in all states and territories and over the last 20 years has managed two ANA’s. ABC DRS is authorised to appoint adjudicators in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia.
