Webinar: New Engineering Contract (NEC) in Hong Kong: Features, Challenges, and Practical Insights
Please note: This is an international webinar and will take place at 12:00pm Singapore time. The webinar link will be sent to attendees the day prior to the event.
Since 2009, the New Engineering Contract (NEC) has been a transformative force in Hong Kong’s construction industry, initially introduced through a series of pilot projects. This transition involved adapting to the new contract system; it necessitated updates to contract documentation, the development of practice notes and guidelines, extensive trainings, and most importantly, a fundamental change in the mindset of administering a construction contract.
In this webinar, Eric will explore the key features that distinguish NEC from traditional contracts, discussing the challenges faced during its implementation, and share practical insights from local professionals.
