About the speakers:



Stacey Nyein MAIQS, CQS

Stacey is a certified quantity surveyor with diverse experience across residential, commercial, aged care, industrial, and data centre projects. With a strong background in civil engineering, contract administration, and construction estimating, she provides efficient and thorough quantity surveying services to suit different project needs throughout all project stages. Stacey is passionate about supporting the next generation of quantity surveyors, and she actively promotes the profession through mentoring and industry events.



Jarrod Dunford

Jarrod delivers cost guidance across sectors and leads projects in civic, commercial, residential, health, sports and leisure sectors. Alongside his quantity surveying expertise, Jarrod contributes in expert witness advice including dispute resolution, negotiation of costs, quantum reports, and the financial evaluation of claims. He has contributed to major developments such as Macquarie University’s Bio Innovation Hub, in addition to the recent Nepean Hospital Redevelopment, and the Moree Hospital Redevelopment.

Jarrod is the NSW President for the AIQS young professionals committee, Quantity Surveying Emerging Professionals (QSEP).



Tom Turner MAIQS, CQS

Tom is a Quantity Surveyor with over ten years of experience across the UK and Australia. Since relocating to Sydney in 2017, he has delivered projects ranging from façade remediation and retail masterplanning to civil and infrastructure works. Tom specialises in cost planning, procurement, and risk management, advising clients in both public and private sectors.

Tom is an active AIQS member, contributing to professional committees and events, and is passionate about supporting the next generation. Tom has delivered career presentations at local schools and coordinated work experience placements to give students insight into the quantity surveying profession.



Nicole Kovacic (Moderator)

Nicole is a dedicated Membership Engagement Manager with a solid background in association management. She is passionate about cultivating strong, lasting relationships between associations and their members.

With a proven track record in member retention, engagement strategy, and community building, Nicole focuses on driving sustainable membership growth at AIQS by developing and fostering relationships with both new and existing members.
