AIQS CEO Grant Warner explains why the new daily payment rate caps for government infrastructure projects proposed by NSW Treasury are below cost rates for many practices. Instead of saving taxpayers money, the capped costs will have the opposite effect because the costs the government is looking to constrain are against those professionals who are best positioned to deliver greater cost savings and certainty over the entire procurement process for each infrastructure project.
