Project Cost Management Group is a dynamic firm with experience in Project Cost Management dedicated to providing accurate and timely cost advice to successfully manage project capital and maintenance expenditure.
We provide advice to clients in both the private and public sector, ranging from strategic advice in business case preparation, costing planning services, project delivery and procurement, and supporting cost information for building audits, due diligence and the whole of life analysis.
DESCRIPTION
Cadet Quantity Surveyor (CQS) role will involve:
- Assist & learn in measurement and take off of cost plans and variations across the different stages of Cost Planning (Feasibility to Completion)
- Assist & learn in reading & understanding plans, schedules, reports
- Assist & learn in preparing forecast cashflows
- Assist & learn in preparing monthly reports
- Preparing & undertaking site inspection, liaise with consultants / contractors
- Ability to use software programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Costx.
Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) role will involve:
- Cost estimates and cost management services
- Cost planning
- Bill of quantities
- Contract administration
- Financier reporting and inspections
- Tax depreciation report
- Reinstatement cost assessments
- Independent certifier role.
Technical Specialist (TS) will involve:
- Review reports developed by other consultants
- Identify gaps, pitfalls, and associated risks
- Carry out benchmark analysis
- Provide value management, cost saving options, ESD initiatives, lifecycle advice, assessment, and suggestions
- Proficient in aspects of Building Structures, Services, or Civil.
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possesses the following skills and attributes:
- Accreditation in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Project Management for SQS / TS or working towards it for CQS
- Membership in an approved Professional Body preferred (eg. AIQS, RICS, CIOB, VBA, IEAust) for SQS / TS
- 6+ years of experience for SQS / TS
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics;
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written;
- Team player
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Valid working visa in Australia.
