The Treasury Laws Amendment (More Competition, Better Prices) Act 2022 came into effect on 9 November 2023, introducing a number of significant changes to the Australian Consumer Law.

Join us at this joint seminar with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) to hear Alex Tuhtan address the following questions and provide relevant examples:

  • What type of contacts does this legislation apply to?
  • When is a term deemed to be unfair?
  • What happens if a term is found to be unfair?
  • Typical examples of unfair terms - termination for convenience, time bars, and liquidated damages.

Canapes and drinks will be provided at this event.
