Mr Justin O'Brien

I am the founder and managing director of O'Brien Quantity Surveying which is located in the Newcastle region of NSW. I have worked in the construction industry since 2001 and have been a Quantity Surveyor continuously since commencing a cadetship in 2006. Prior to undertaking my quantity surveying cadetship I worked with various builders on a mix of commercial and residential projects.

I am a Certified Quantity Surveyor with vast experience across a range of project types including Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Civil Works for builders, developers, home-owners, architects, planners and solicitors.

Given my experience and attention to detail I have been called upon to produce numerous Expert Witness reports for use in litigation at various courts and tribunals across NSW.

Throughout my career I have focused on working within smaller QS firms in order to get hands on experience across the many facets to the profession. Presently my main workload relates to Expert Witness reporting, Preparation of Cost Estimates and Cost Planning for new builds and alterations projects (Commercial and Residential projects), Financier Reporting and Tax Depreciation Schedules.
