Driving Stressed Megaprojects Towards Successful Completion

3 February, 2026 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm AEDT

$38.00 - $50.00

Megaprojects often stall due to cost overruns, schedule delays, and risks exceeding tolerance levels. When traditional delivery approaches fail, a strategic ‘reset’ can transform a failing program into a success. Join Jery Johnson as he presents on resetting and recovering major programs, based on proven methodologies and case studies.

We’ll explore the six-step project management approach endorsed by leading institutions, including Oxford University and the UK Infrastructure and Projects Authority. Key steps include:

  • Recognising early warning signs and acknowledging the need for change.

  • Reprogramming works into manageable milestones.

  • Implementing robust early warning systems

  • Enhanced leadership and accountability.

  • Re-baselining budgets, schedules, and benefits as well as the Business Case for realistic deliverability.

  • Managing risks collaboratively and maintaining rigorous progress monitoring and project controls.

Drawing from ten case studies, this webinar highlights strategies such as value engineering, future-proofing initiatives, and effective claims resolution. Learn how to navigate complex resets while retaining contractors/consultants, renegotiating costs and finance, and updating business cases to secure stakeholder confidence.

Whether you’re a project sponsor, manager, or consultant, this session will equip you with insights to break the cycle of overruns and deliver megaprojects successfully.
