We have an immediate requirement for an Executive Quantity Surveyor (Cost) to join our growing Brisbane
Team. This role is suited to senior professionals with experience across a broad range of cost management
functions such as:
• Cost Planning and Cost Estimating at all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Cost Benchmarking, Analysis, Forecasting, Cashflow and Reporting.
• Cost Risk and Change Management.
• Compilation of Tenders and Tender Evaluations.
• Value Management and Assessment of Cost Options; and
• Preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTO’s) and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for complex engineering works.

QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor of Urban Development (QS), Civil Engineering, or equivalent degree of relevance; and
• 10+ years of industry experience preferably within PQS or major projects environment.
EXPERTISE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Demonstrated experience with detailed measurement (MTO/BoQ), cost planning and cost estimating
roles across complex major projects.
• Competent with on-screen measurements and cost estimation prepared in Costx or equivalent.
• Understanding of industry recognised measurement and cost estimating standards (such as ANZSMM,
AS1181, DTMR Estimating Manual, etc).
• Methodical senior cost manager with clear vision on preparing take-offs and estimates that others can
easily interpret and understand.
• Knowledge of estimating software such as Expert Estimator, Candy, CATS, or equivalent desirable.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and work health and safety procedures and policies.
• Experience with manipulating model files (BIM/Digital Engineering) to complement our service
offerings; and
• Experience with Monte Carlo Simulation completed in @Risk desirable.

• Work autonomously with guidance from management where required; and
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE/MEMBERSHIPS
• Active member of industry body such as AIQS, RICS or equivalent desirable.
