From Sustainability Ambition to Procurement Action: Delivering ESG in Construction
$38.00 - $50.00

Join us for a webinar that synthesises six years of industry-driven research by the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) on sustainable procurement in Australia’s building and infrastructure sectors.
Our presenters will show how procurement can move beyond lowest-price purchasing to become a lever for environmental performance, social value, supply-chain resilience and good governance.
Drawing on four linked projects, this webinar will discuss the practical frameworks for aligning organisational culture, behaviour and processes to sustainable procurement principles; and maturity-based approaches and online platform for building sustainable and resilient supply chains.
The presentation will examine how procurement can reduce embodied carbon through baselines, targets, supplier selection criteria and contract clauses. It will also highlight the persistent gap between ESG ambition and delivery, especially during tendering and evaluation, and introduce practical pathways for embedding ESG and measurable social value into procurement.
Industry case studies will illustrate lessons for clients, consultants, contractors and quantity surveyors.
