Green Buildings: Costs, Value and Investment Performance
10 November @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm AEDT
$38.00 - $50.00
Green buildings are increasingly shaping property investment, development and asset management decisions. This presentation examines the economic case for sustainable buildings and the related implications for quantity surveyors and the wider construction and property sectors. Drawing on Australian market evidence and international research, Professor Lee will explore how environmental performance relates to rents, occupancy, operating costs and asset values, alongside the potential risks facing buildings with weaker sustainability credentials.
Professor Lee will discuss the growing importance of environmental, social and governance considerations, energy efficiency, green certification and climate policy in investment decisions. He will also consider how these initiatives influence the financial feasibility of sustainability initiatives.
Particular attention will be given to the role of quantity surveyors in evaluating trade-offs, informing investment decisions and supporting credible sustainability outcomes. People who attend this webinar will gain insights into assessing green building value and communicating the business case for sustainable property development.
