The AIQS Benevolent Fund helps members of AIQS and their families who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
The emphasis is on practical support to those who may be affected by illness, accident, or otherwise having a tough time.
The Fund is managed by the Trustees of the Benevolent Fund Trust Deed, who are made up of the AIQS Board President, the Immediate Past President, and the Vice-President(s).
People in possible need of assistance are usually brought to the attention of the Trustees by a Council representative or by the individual member. The Trustees then investigate their financial and other circumstances to assess whether help can be provided. All information provided to the Trustees by any beneficiary of the Funds is strictly confidential.
Donations to the Benevolent Fund is currently via a voluntary contribution from members and the general public.
