Building the Future: Sustainability Innovation at Atlassian Central (live-only webinar)
18 August @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm AEST
$38.00 - $50.00
Join Clare Gallagher of Built to hear her discuss how sustainability innovation was embedded into every stage of the Atlassian Central project in Sydney, and the challenges overcome to achieve industry-leading outcomes. The presentation will explore how the project achieved a 50% reduction in upfront embodied carbon through the use of mass timber, low-carbon concrete and steel, while targeting some of the world’s highest sustainability certifications, including 6 Star Green Star, WELL Platinum and LEED Platinum.
Clare will also discuss the challenges associated with delivering a 100% fossil fuel-free building powered by renewable energy, implementing a hybrid natural ventilation strategy in a high-rise commercial tower, and integrating sustainability requirements with complex design, procurement and construction constraints.
The discussion will highlight the role of innovation, digital engineering and early supply chain engagement in enabling these outcomes, as well as the project’s broader social impact through Indigenous procurement, social benefit spending and community fundraising initiatives.
