Join speakers from Fitzpatrick + Partners, MBM, and Western Sydney University for an engaging panel discussion – using the Mooro project, a development targeting the Living Building Challenge certification, as our primary case study.

Paul is recognised for his design excellence and collaborative approach with clients and stakeholders, enabling the management of multiple and complex project drivers, resulting in optimal project outcomes.
As an expert in environmental sustainability, Paul is a past President of Australian Architects Declare and a highly regarded speaker and educator in the fields of Architecture, Sustainability and Carbon.

Associate Director Sabrina Tapson is an industry leader recognised for her expertise across the national market and brings 13 years of experience across the Australian and South African construction industries.
Sabrina has built her career in quantity surveying with a strong focus on projects that deliver long-term social value. She works across diverse sectors, but her dedication to housing affordability has positioned her as a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex financial and delivery challenges. Sabrina maintains a strong focus on industry innovation through sustainable construction methodologies, including off-site construction and timber usage, and Green Star construction, such as carbon calculations.

- Tomislav Micetic - Moderator
- Biography
Tomislav is a Graduate Designer at Fitzpatrick + Partners, transitioning to architecture in 2025 after a 17-year engineering career. He draws on experience spanning Residential, Commercial, Transport, Healthcare and Sport sectors. Since making the move into design, Tomislav has adopted an approach that balances creativity and technical understanding. He enjoys untangling constraints and seeing them as a framework that enables more grounded and honest design solutions.
An active member of EmAGN NSW, Tomislav advocates for the transfer of knowledge across the industry to better serve the community. He believes architecture is at its best when it prioritises the human experience, creating environments that foster positive social connections and improve our daily lives.

- Srinath Perera MAIQS, CQS
- Biography
Professor Srinath Perera is Head of Discipline and Chair Professor of Built Environment and Construction Management and the Director of the Centre for Smart Modern Construction (c4SMC) at Western Sydney University. He is President of the Australasian Universities Building Education Association (AUBEA) and is a Board Member and Chair of the Future Leaders Committee of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB).
He is Editor-in-Chief of Construction Innovation (Q1) and Specialty Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers in Blockchain (Industry), and a Chief Investigator on multiple Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Hubs and Training Centres.
A member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CQS) Professor Perera has over 35 years of experience in academia and industry. A pioneer in construction informatics, his work integrates AI and digital technologies into sustainable construction. He has authored over 400 publications and is recognised among Stanford/Elsevier’s top 2% scientists.

- Corey Arkins
- Biography
Corey's focus is on sustainability integration and communication at Fitzpatrick + Partners, alongside studying a Master's of Building Performance and Sustainable Design at the University of Sydney. His current role see's him developing and refining the studio's environmental capability alongside building tools and strategies that help communicate sustainability decisions more clearly, both within the studio and to clients and project partners.
A participating member of Architects Declare, Corey believes sustainability should be engrained, not separate from design and that good communication is central to making sustainability more widespread. He aims to balance big-picture thinking with the tangible, day-to-day delivery of live projects.
