If you are working as a built environment cost professional (e.g. Quantity Surveyor, Cost Consultant, Cost Planner, Cost Manager, Cost Engineers, etc), have a relevant degree and are able to demonstrate a broad range of skills across a minimum of two from the three core competency areas combined with practical experience, you can apply for Member Grade.

PATHWAY ONE 

  • Accredited Academic Qualifications or Recognised Academic Qualifications (minimum Bachelor’s degree)
  • Nomination by a Member or Fellow grade member of good standing
  • Minimum two years’ experience under Approved Supervision or three years’ experience under non-Approved Supervision (that can be verified by some other acceptable means)
  • For applicants with over 2 years’ experience under Approved Supervision or three years’ experience under non-approved supervision but less than 5 years of work experience in total, to complete 15 Academy Topics (includes the Code of Conduct)
  • Successful completion of an APC

PATHWAY TWO 

  • Non-Accredited or non-Recognised Academic Qualifications (minimum Bachelor’s degree)
  • Completion of the AIQS Academy Certificate (‘up-skilling course’)
  • Nomination by a Member or Fellow grade member of good standing
  • Minimum two years’ experience under approved supervision or three years’ experience under non-approved supervision (that can be verified by some other acceptable means
  • Successful completion of an APC

PATHWAY THREE

  • An ability to prove a high level of expertise as a Quantity Surveyor, by demonstrating a broad range of skills across a minimum of two of the three core competencies
  • Nomination by three Member or Fellow grade members of good standing
  • Minimum eight years’ experience under Approved Supervision or ten years’ experience under non-approved supervision (that can be verified by some other acceptable means), within a Quantity Surveying professional or academic role
  • Successful completion of an APC
